KC NTMA is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our standard. This site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA: real text rather than pictures of text, meaningful alternative text on images, color contrast that meets the required ratios, visible keyboard focus, and a structure that works with screen readers. An independent review against that standard is under way ahead of launch, and any known exceptions will be listed on this page.

Why this matters here. The chapter’s previous website presented nearly all of its content as images of text, which made it effectively unreadable to assistive technology. Rebuilding it as real text was a primary goal of this site.
