What membership gives you
Most of it happens in person, at member shops, month after month. Here is what that adds up to.
Monthly programming
Networking events, educational presentations, facility tours and roundtable discussions, most of them hosted at member shops.
A peer network
Direct access to other precision manufacturers facing the same operational, workforce and market pressures.
Workforce pathways
The chapter's apprenticeship program, training partners and scholarship work, plus school outreach that feeds the hiring pipeline.
A collective voice
Representation with policymakers, community leaders and regional organizations, and through One Voice nationally.
Exclusive member resources
Programs not open to the public, starting with USA MFG Exchange, a marketplace where manufacturers buy and sell surplus material and inventory.
National membership
Chapter membership connects you to the National Tooling & Machining Association and its training and advocacy programs.
Who is eligible
Manufacturing members are precision manufacturing companies: machine shops, tool and die companies, fabricators, welders, and other manufacturers directly engaged in production.
Associate members are businesses and organizations that support the industry through professional services, technology, workforce solutions, education, financial services and other resources. The chapter holds a 2:1 ratio of manufacturers to associates by design, so associate membership is intentionally limited.
Most members are in the Greater Kansas City region, though the roster reaches across Kansas and Missouri, from Manhattan and Topeka to St Joseph, Warrensburg and Lamar.

How to join
Manufacturing members apply through the national association, which handles membership for all NTMA chapters. Associate members join through the chapter directly. If you would rather talk it through first, contact the chapter and we will walk you through it.
